Gravity Thickening Tests

Static and dynamic thickening test data can be collected to determine thickener sizing and operating parameters. The type of testing to be conducted will be determined by both the type of thickener desired and by the amount of sample available for testing.

Pressure and Vacuum Filtration Tests

Vacuum and/or pressure filtration tests can be conducted on relatively small quantities of sample slurry. Tests conducted will collect a general set of data that would describe filter operation and performance in terms of production rate and achievable cake moistures.

Slurry and Fluid Rheology (viscosity measurement)

Tests to determine apparent viscosity at known shear rates relative to solids concentration at known temperature and pH. Data analysis to determine the yield value for the slurry at various solids concentrations.

Slurry sample characterization, may be conducted by us or by others, and should include liquor and solids specific gravities, particle size distribution of solids, P80 calculation, and normal or expected pH ranges for process streams.
